A delightfully different, charmingly quirky tourism brand promoting entertainment, dining, events and more in Altoona, Iowa.
I’ve written pretty much every piece of content on Visit Altoona’s website and social media since January 2022. Not to diss any other contributors, but you can tell when I wasn’t the author (no tea, no shade...just facts.)
PS: Visit Altoona’s brand voice being super similar to mine is legitimately a coincidence. I inherited this client. So, contrary to popular belief, I did not create it in my image.

Little Friends - Impact Video
Based in Warrenville, Illinois, Little Friends, Inc. provides a lifetime of support services to children and adults with autism, as well as their families.
In early 2023, MACLYN was hired to create a video highlighting their impact. I took the lead on crafting the overall narrative, outlining the story we wanted to tell and how we wanted to tell it.
Thanks to the Little Friends staff, we were able to meet up with some outstanding interviewees whose lived experiences took the piece to a whole new level.

Avanade - New Creative Campaign Pitch Deck
Back in the summer of 2022, Avanade invited MACLYN to join agencies from around the globe for a pitch competition. The mission? Reimagine their brand to help it live up to their reputation as a world-class technology partner.
Leaning into Avanade’s existing “wave” motif, here’s what my then-fellow Sr. art director (Rebecca Cravatta) and I came up with. Though MACLYN didn’t end up winning the pitch, Avanade was thoroughly impressed with the quality of our work and commended the team for our innovative, outside-the-box approach to their brand.

Play is a powerful thing, especially when it’s propped up by cute, light-hearted marketing. I wrote copy for a handful of At The Pier Arcade promo assets in 2022, from brand awareness ads to limited-time offer campaigns, social posts and more. As you might’ve guessed, they were indeed both cute and light-hearted.
Terrace Hills Golf Course - New Website
My literal third day of work at MACLYN, my boss approached me with a big task: write a new website for a popular Iowa golf course, essentially from scratch.
My response? “All in a day’s work.” Well, I didn’t actually say it like that. But you get the point. I gathered as much information as I could, synced up with an art director and hit the grass running.
